JUSTJUNK Waterloo

4.9(576)✓ Google-verified

Reviewers consistently experience swift, polite service from a crew that treats homes and items with genuine care. Same-day quotes and removal are standard; crew members like Connor, Jon, Cory, AJ, and Jaiden are regularly named for their warmth and professionalism, even offering unpaid help to elderly customers. The team works fast without cutting corners. Prices come across as fair, and the company handles everything from couches to hot tubs. Customers return repeatedly and specifically request the same technicians, a sign the business builds real relationships rather than treating jobs as transactions.

JUSTJUNK Kitchener

4.5(117)✓ Google-verified

Most jobs run smoothly, with staff arriving on time, working quickly, and treating homes with care. Several reviewers name specific technicians (John, Ryan, AJ, Connor) and praise their professionalism. Older complaints about weekend no-shows and unclear quoting suggest scheduling or communication gaps, though recent reviews (past year) show consistent, positive experiences.

1-800-GOT-JUNK? Kitchener

2.9(38)✓ Google-verified

The franchise's 2.9-star rating reflects a deeply split customer base. Those praising the crew report friendly, efficient workers who communicate well and deliver straightforward service at fair rates on straightforward jobs. However, half the reviews describe a pricing operation so chaotic and aggressive it borders on predatory: initial quotes come in $1,000+ over what competitors charge for the same work; trucks arrive already partial-full yet are billed at a higher percentage than they actually held; surcharges materialize on-site without warning; and when customers refuse inflated final bills, crew members turn hostile or cancel appointments with no apology. Beyond pricing, the franchise fails on scheduling reliability. Multiple reviewers report missed arrival windows by hours, customer service that lies about crew status, and at least one case where staff pressured a customer to cancel an evening appointment they had confirmed that morning. Named technicians like Andrew, William, Carter, and Jonathan received genuine praise for professionalism, but oversight appears minimal. The company's pricing formula and truck-capacity billing method seem designed to maximize charges after commitment, creating an adversarial dynamic the most common complaint voices as a "scam."
